Was super slow with the hardware they recommended (specifically printing receipts took like 10 seconds) but the REAL bummer was when a little banner showed up on the app saying they’re merging their payment system with the retail app, and charging a fee if you don’t do it? I’m pretty happy with my current payment provider so had no interest in this, and couldn’t imagine the fee would be large, or even effect me at all till one of my friends brought it up and said yea, it in fact would charge me. Hard to navigate, ie app and website completely different UI, icons don’t make sense, weird UI glitches commonly, menus hard to navigate. Was pretty easy to get it all the stock set up so that was nice at least, but from there it’s downhill. Signed up for this for my new little business and during the beginning they tried to get me to go the more expensive plan despite not needing it at all, so that was the first red flag. Yep all the recent 1 star reviews sum it up pretty well. It is blatantly clear from the collective, recent reviews. Lightspeed doesn't care about their customers. My recommendation, stay away from this 'mob', there are no ethics that are relatable to this century they are out to suck the money from the big companies and happy to flick the smaller companies off their decks, threatening with coercive and bullying tactics. From what I have read and heard, they are not doing a very good job at the banking aspect, even at a pos system, especially with their customer relations. I joined up to a POS company, not a bank!!!!! These days we face so many security threats. I contested these 'extra charges' and have argued why I must transfer all my business funds through their systems to avoid their 'extra charges'. I was not imformed by any changes in writing and then, the payments from my account started coming out. I recently had a few 'flitty' calls from a lightspeed manager, who phoned to 'discuss changes' during a knowingly busy operation time in my restaurant. Later they were bought by Lightspeed but I didn't really think much about it at the time. My business originally subscribed our POS system with Kounta. A company embodied with pre-historic ethics, coercive and bullying tactics and who has no care for their customer who stood by them to be where they are
